How MrSwap identifies and verifies its customers, using risk-based verification tiers.
Customer verification protects MrSwap, its customers, and its partners from fraud, identity theft, and misuse of the service for financial crime. Verification is risk-based: the level of checking scales with the risk and value of the activity.
Verification requirements escalate automatically when risk signals appear, regardless of transaction value. Examples include the use of multiple distinct payment instruments, payment instruments not matching the account holder's verified identity, anomalous velocity or volume, and connections to accounts previously flagged for fraud.
KYC is not a one-time gate. Customer risk profiles are kept under review, and verification may be refreshed or escalated during the relationship — for example, following changes in activity patterns or applicable requirements.
Identity data collected for verification is used only for verification, compliance, and fraud-prevention purposes. It is stored securely, restricted to authorized personnel, retained as required by applicable law, and handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
We may decline or terminate service where verification cannot be completed, where information provided is false or misleading, or where risk signals cannot be resolved.
